Maine DMR schedules coastwide meetings with lobster industry

HALLOWELL, ME — The Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) has scheduled 16 meetings with the state’s lobster industry to hear people’s views on the status of the industry following the 2012 season and recommendations for the future.
The meetings will include a discussion of the work of the Lobster Advisory Council and its efforts to address issues around the quality of the harvest and the profitability of the industry (see story previous page).
