Need for wider fish-loss coverage identified as key priority for industry growth

KINSALEO, IRELAND – This past spring,, approximately 100 professionals gathered in picturesque Kinsale here on the southwest coast of Ireland to discuss the current state of the aquaculture insurance marketplace during the 12th Aquaculture Insurance and Risk Management Conference.
Delegates from 19 countries spanning five continents were in attendance, making this the largest gathering of aquaculture insurance specialists anywhere in the world.
The conference included a series of presentations covering a wide spectrum of relevant risk management and insurance topics that all have a direct impact on the cost and availability of aquaculture stock coverage.
