Modified REPCO honors Pinkham’s father<\/strong>\"Sea-Monster-10_14\"<\/p>\n

BEALS ISLAND, ME \u2013 You\u2019re never going to find another REPCO like lobsterman Veril \u201cSuki\u201d Pinkham\u2019s.<\/p>\n

To be clear, you shouldn\u2019t have a problem finding a REPCO 37, which is what Suki Pinkham\u2019s Sea Monster was when it first hit the water back in 1976.<\/p>\n

During the 1970s, a steady stream of the fiberglass 37-footers rolled through the doors of Reinforced Plastics Company Inc.\u2019s Gouldsboro shop, along with popular 30′ and 21′ models.<\/p>\n

Albert Hutchinson doesn\u2019t do a lot of self-promotion.\u00a0 Heck, he doesn\u2019t even have a sign at the end of Killearn Lane in Cushing.\u00a0 That\u2019s OK, though.\u00a0 Just drive.\u00a0 When you can\u2019t go any further, you\u2019re there.<\/p>\n

Hutchinson and his crew don\u2019t have matching uniforms with \u201cHutchinson Composites\u201d embroidered on them.\u00a0 The fact of the matter is, for all he has going on, he doesn\u2019t even have a very big crew \u2013 only two pairs of full-time hands besides his own.<\/p>\n

But what Hutchinson does have is skill and a solid work ethic, along with a hull model that has been quietly gaining popularity these last few years…<\/p>\n
