SW Boatworks of Lamoine, ME recently was recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as an approved member of the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). To quote from a letter

OSHA presented to SW Boatworks owner Stewart Workman, “This recognition represents your successful participation in a comprehensive onsite consultation survey, correction of all hazards identified during this review, and the operation of an effective safety and health program.”

Maine Gov. Paul LePage also sent a letter of congratulations, noting SW’s “commitment to workplace safety and health” as an “admirable accomplishment.”

At the time of SW’s acceptance into the program, it was one of only 57 SHARP locations in Maine and less than 1,800 nationally.
